ParateC FreeZR Mk2
My helmet hunting... tried the Z1 and I couldn't even get my chin in, glasses would never fit under that visor.
Tried the A3 and it was a much better fit around my head, but the glasses just barely wouldn't work, maybe with lower profile glasses I could have made it work.
Which leads us to this bad boy, the ParateC FreeZR Mk2. Kind of ordered this on a leap of faith, it's a hard one to find so I wasn't able to try it on first.
Awesome fit, no visual distortion around edges, huge range of sight which I love! The visor is a two hand opening, but it isn't that hard, at least on the ground.
To my complete shock and awe my huge frames actually fit under the visor perfectly fine! I still plan on getting smaller frames, but wow I'm liking it!
Got a few jumps with it now, awesome full face! Best way to describe it is that I didn't notice anything in freefall. Awesome range of vision, glasses didn't fog at all in freefall in our cold ass new england weather (-17 C at alt).
Under canopy with just one clip open there is enough air flow to prevent fogging.
One con I have to list is that I wouldn't be able to use this freeflying (if I wanted to use a full face freeflying that is...), the only adjustment for tightness is the chin strap. Even with it as tight as I can make it I can pull the helmet right off my head with not that much force.
I highly recommend this helmet to anyone in the market for a new helmet. Yes it's pricey, and nearly impossible to find on the used market, but after you fly it you'll know why.
